Divine Omnipotence

We love others and wish to see them happy; it's just a natural part of being in a relationship with someone. Shouldn't God love us and wish to see us happy, too? He can do anything, so why doesn’t He always make good things happen? Maybe God is doing what’s best for us, for if all good things happened, we wouldn’t see any need for God. By trusting in Him, we show we will rely on Him no matter what. God can do anything, including the ability to hold back goodness when He sees we need to learn a lesson. A parent doesn’t do everything "good" for their child. If a father sees a mistake coming, he might let their child take it in order to learn. While we may think things are best “our way”, our Father past this. He knows what’s coming and wants to prepare us. Maybe God lets trials happen so that we might share with others in similar circumstances. Our poor choices have brought about evil, for we each desire our own wants, hurting others by this.
Living in any environment gives us choices. A good choice would be loving God more than ourselves. Our wants conflict with one another, meaning the only possible way is to each live in our own world. If an individual had everything they wanted, others would be deprived of their desires. But God is a God of community and relationships.
We realize love and compassion more clearly in a world of evil. Why would someone go out of their way to help me when we’re all seeking after our own desires? It may be that they know Christ and want me to know Him, too. If God made wrong actions impossible, He would take away free will, which would mean we would feel controlled and wouldn’t need to rely on Him. Why is freewill so important to us? Why not want for God to control us? He gets it, while we are pretty clueless.
